Season art[edit]

Can we discuss the infobox art in the season articles before a full out edit war begins? I'm unaware of a guideline that promotes DVD art over seasonal promotional art when both exist and are similar. There seems to be no reason to "update" these articles with DVD art in this case. Pinging @Cosmic2992: and @Bluerules: but anyone may join in.— TAnthonyTalk 19:49, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

My understanding is the promotional art / poster takes precedence over the DVD / home media cover because posters represent the original release. Bluerules (talk) 20:22, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The pages have not been updated since their home media releases came out. Not counting the MOD titles cause they're only sold online. Replacing posters with the DVD covers is not an issue at all. Again, I am not starting an edit war. But I want to give the editing newbies a heads up on how a TV season page is updated on Wikipedia. Say you want to look at any season of Fraiser or another show that's got a physical release, those pages will show you the DVD cover for each season.Cosmic2992 (talk)
That's a WP:OTHERCONTENT argument. The poster is for the original release and the infobox is based on the original release. If there isn't a poster, then the DVD / home media cover is the only option, but when there is a poster, that takes precedence over home media. Bluerules (talk) 22:11, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not really. This has been going on for years/decades now.Cosmic2992 (talk)
Again, WP:OTHERCONTENT. If you do not have any reasons for using the DVD / home media cover other than other articles using them, then there is no legitimate reason to change the images. Bluerules (talk) 23:24, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
For older shows like Frasier, sure, the home media covers may be the only consistent season promo art available. And perhaps there has been a proliferation of using DVD art for recent series for various reasons. But we use first edition covers for books and posters for films, so as Bluerules says it seems like a no brainer to use the original release art for TV seasons, when available. And especially in this case, where the art is the same for both except for DVD-specific text.— TAnthonyTalk 01:19, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Basically, you guys are like referencing Fandom Wikis where a poster is shown in a season page? Cosmic2992 (talk) 05:10, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We are following a common standard on Wikipedia. Using the poster for the original release prevents constant changes and disputes over which image we should use. Bluerules (talk) 19:33, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No more than you are basically making up a guideline based on "stuff you saw in other articles". Move on.— TAnthonyTalk 05:50, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Cosmic2992 What exactly is wrong with promotional art? What guideline supports updating promotional art to home media art, when the art is exactly the same bar the text? Can you cite a discussion with a clear consensus that we must update promotional art to home media art? You haven't answered any of these questions. -- Alex_21 TALK 07:34, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am not making things up. I just wanted know if the new rule if adding promotional material over DVD cover art is the new rule going forward. Was the move inspired by the Fandom Wikis? Cosmic2992 (talk) 15:56, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is a common practice that original release promo art of the season has precedence over home media/DVD art of the season. This is because we go by original releases. This was already explained clearly by Bluerules and TAnthony. We most definitely do not follow Fandom Wikis. You do not have the consensus to change it to home media/DVD art. — YoungForever(talk) 18:33, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is no new "rule". Again, can you cite this "original" "rule" that states that DVD cover art takes precedence? -- Alex_21 TALK 04:46, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Titan's Episodes in wiki (and on Netflix) Out of Sequence/Missing after s4ep6.[edit]

just started s4ep7 and the recap makes no sense, as it is obvious there is atleast 1 episode that came before Netflix's "Caul's Folly". It is possible the episode name is right, but recap and actual episode is incorrect. Like ep8 is actually ep7.

Should we add a section to dicusss this mix up, once it is determined what the correct episode sequence is s04? I think someone should. 204.174.222.182 (talk) 00:53, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Titans (2018 TV series)[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Titans (2018 TV series)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "S4RT":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. Feel free to remove this comment after fixing the refs. AnomieBOT 15:12, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
