Year of birth?[edit]

The article says she was born in 1955 but IMDb says 1951. Which is correct? Entheta (talk) 15:13, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've corrected it to 1951: the date previously shown on the article, which was unreferenced, is the only place which stated that she was born in 1955. She was definitely born in 1951, as other sources, including the California Birth Index, state 22 July 1951. Werdnawerdna (talk) 05:13, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re: Correction[edit]

I removed the following correction and added what seemed appropriate to the article. 69.86.189.171 (talk) 15:53, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CORRECTION:
SFC Jason Farrow Dene died of an ACCIDENTAL overdose. A veteran, with 20+ years in the Army, Jason was deployed to Iraq on his 2nd tour there. He suffered from sleep apnea, insomnia, and was in treatment for PTSD. He had also recently undergone major surgery to help alleviate the breathing problems he was having. He died in his sleep. The PRESCRIBED medications he was on were a major factor in his early passing. Tisa was devestated. Jason was married with three children. His premature death was a great shock to family and friends.

Questioning notability[edit]

Is this person really a notable actor, her screen credits are minimal? Is she notable as a sister of a notable person and are the personal details of her private life reported excessively in the article considering her low notability as an actor.

Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Entertainers - the main point here is .. Has had significant roles in multiple notable films - has she ?Govindaharihari (talk) 22:15, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have to agree, I don't think this is a noteworthy body of work for a standalone article. Feels a little thin. And maybe a little bit of a COATRACKS for the BLP stuff...Perhaps recommend for deletion, per lack of noteworthiness...Shark310 01:43, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

After looking deeper I have removed the personal life details that were supported by these two online links -http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/06/18/crimesider/entry5096433.shtml - and - http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/farrow-blames-brothers-suicide-on-death-of-soldier-nephew_1108541 - the reports are about Mia Farrow, a much more public notable figure, not Tisa, and as Tisa for the last 35 years has been a private person, I do not agree that these two links, one of which does not even mention her name and the other only once in passing support the inclusion of this intimate personal detail in her wp:blp article. I also note there is no mention of this in the Mia Farrow biography. Govindaharihari (talk) 04:05, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Good call on removing those links. I'm inclined to agree that this subject does not in general meet the criteria of WP:GNG or WP:NACTOR. I did a significant search and was unable to come up with a single secondary reliable source excepting a handful which reference her incidentally (usually in the context of reference to her sister's extended family). I found some additional treatment in various blogs and fansites geared towards B-horror films, but needless to say those are not suitable to the purposes of verification or establishing notability. I note that someone on the WikiProject suggested to you that WP:NTEMP may apply here, but I don't see that is the case from the current evidence as the minimal standards for notability have not been established in the first place. Given the state of the sourcing and the subject's general lack of a public profile for the career she's noted for here, I think AfD is probably the way to go here. If you do nom for deletion, Govindaharihari, you might consider handling Stephanie Farrow at the same time, per an even more pronounced case of the rationale put forth here. Snow talk 07:24, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Wow. Yeah. snows right. It would appear that some "inclusionists" will want an article for anyone that was even related to a noteworthy person. What's next, celebrity nanny articles? Please do nom for deletions. My view is that the encyclopedia should be built on noteworthy subjects- not siblings and stepchildren and Nieces et al... Shark310 09:55, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
