Is the list written by Hayashi Razan, or Hayashi Gaho his son? This page states it's Gaho, but there is no mention of the list on Gaho's wikipedia page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hayashi_Gahō But it is mentioned on Razans page, in the first paragraph http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hayashi_Razan

Other lists[edit]

It does not seem to make sense to me to merge New Three Major Night Views of Japan with Three Views of Japan without also merging Three Major Night Views of Japan. I have therefore added a merge tag to Three Major Night Views of Japan and will merge all three articles in 30 days if there is no objection on this Talk page. Proper Name[edit]

The proper English translation of Nihon Sankei (日本三景) is "The Three Most Scenic Spots of Japan." While not my personal favorite translation it was decided upon by the Nihonsakei association that the three towns are part of. Is it possible to fix Wikipedia to reflect the official name?

This has nothing to do with the three night views, etc. This appellation originated with Confucian scholar Shunsai Hayashi in his book, "Nihon Kokujisekikou" ("Observations About the Remains of Japan's Civil Affairs") in 1643. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.6.12.244 (talk) 00:42, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
