Elizabeth Blanchard[edit]

Hamblin's wife Elizabeth Blanchard can't be the daughter of E.L.Blanchard, as stated in this article. She was married by 1825 and he wasn't born till 1820. She may be the daughter of the William Blanchard(d.May 1835) who worked as a supporting actor for over 30 years at the Covent Garden theatre. He's mentioned in The Times (The Times, Monday, Nov 12, 1832; pg. 3; Issue 15007; col C) as having recently returned from a visit to America. RLamb (talk) 08:27, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

She was William Blanchard's daughter by his first wife, according to DNB:"Blanchard's daughter Elizabeth also took to the stage; she appeared at Covent Garden and the Haymarket and, after marrying Thomas Hamblin about 1824, continued playing under her married name."
