Copyright violation?[edit]

It seems that this material might have been copied from an essay or book because it even includes footnote references in square brackets. I can't find it online, though. —Largo Plazo (talk) 12:05, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The material has been copied from Carnoustie's wikipedia page. I wrote it and it is copyright free.
The reason it is being copied over is that it is being removed from its original location, while still being notable.Catfish Jim and the soapdish (talk) 12:15, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, got it. But then you need to be copying the underlying wiki code from edit mode, not the resulting text from the article page. Oh, wait, I just looked: you've done that now! —Largo Plazo (talk) 12:27, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yep! Mucked it up the first time!Catfish Jim and the soapdish (talk) 12:38, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about it. I wrote most of both articles and he is popularly considered (rightly or wrongly) as the founding father of Carnoustie. Catfish Jim and the soapdish 23:11, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
