This was copied exactly from the Library of Southern Literature. It was published in 1909 and so should be out of copyright. However, we should really re-write it in a style closely resembling wikipedia style. Maybe use headings and what-not.--Mblumber (talk) 12:48, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's not exactly copied, pretty close, but I did cut out a bunch of POV hagiography and changed some Victorian diction to be more modern. As for adding section breaks, I'd prefer more content be added first to justify sections - section breaks have the disadvantage of disrupting narrative flow which this prose nicely has - the reason I copied it verbatim, it's well written. The author is credited. Green Cardamom (talk) 20:05, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
True, except that "narrative flow" isn't one of the criteria that we look for when we determine what makes a good article. It's in fact discouraged by the MOS which pushes you to have short sections with headings. That way someone visiting this page will have an easy time locating the information they are looking for.--Mblumber (talk) 12:48, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I guess people won't have the time or notion to read a full paragraph.. I've taken your advice and added "short choppy sections". Do you think we should just add bullets and rename it List of events in the life of Thomas Albert Smith Adams? Green Cardamom (talk) 13:23, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There's really no need for hostility. I like what you did. Hopefully someone else will come along and add a little more content. Thanks for your contribution and understanding. --Mblumber (talk) 08:36, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, a work of art really. Just for you my friend. Glad you like it. What are your thoughts on making a list article. If each sentence is a section, why not collapse it into a list? It would be much easier to read and for people to find what they are looking for. It could even have a date field, a chronology of events. What does the MOS say about this?
