There is some inconsistency between the lead section and the list of ingredients. The lead mentions sodium cholate which is not on the list. The lead mentions Ferric citrate (does it exist?) but the list says Ferric ammonium citrate. Biscuittin (talk) 10:04, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sodium cholate actually is one of the ingredients (added sources in the article), maybe it was forgotten in the list. According to the manufacturer of the TCBS agar, the component is Ferric citrate, I changed this in the list accordingly. I assume it is may be Ferric ammonium citrate, because this is used in other microbiological media, e.g. Simmons' citrate agar, but there is no source for this.
