Fantastic Start[edit]

This is a fantastic start! I love the infobox! I see what you mean about the guest list seeming a little unruly. One option might be to move that out into a separate article or maybe to reformat it as a two column list? I'm not sure how to do that but I think either of those might be slightly better looking options. Either way, I think it would be OK to publish this and then talk about the options with other Wikipedia editors. —mako 22:13, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review[edit]

There was honestly nothing here to copy-edit. You've done an amazing job grammatically, so congrats for that. It's also clearly under the notability rule because...Sonny.

I have an idea on how to fix your Guest Stars section. Just list them all in a paragraph. Unless this show is getting revived any time soon, requiring updates to the guest section, the current format isn't really needed (in my opinion).

Great article though! ░ nozkrov ░talk 03:26, 25 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nozkrov Thanks for the feedback. I will, however, leave the guest stars sections as is. An important element of variety shows is that there are different guest stars on weekly basis, many of whom were (and still are) major stars in their own right. If you look at wikipedia pages for similar shows (such as The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour), the format is very similar. Listing them in the paragraph would also be laborious for the reader. I have an idea for how to format these that I will try in a little bit. I both agree that it is extremely useful (even if does edge a little close to original research and that it should be kept but that the current display (especially with the impact on the table of contents) is a little rough. —mako 23:03, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I originally just had the guest stars listed without the alphabetical separation (i.e. just a list of bullet points). If that works better, I can just change it back to that format, in which only only the guest stars heading would show up in the table of contents. Also, I'm not sure how it's original research, as I got that list directly from a tertiary source (cited in that section) that listed each guest star in the episode summary.Knicoladyes (talk) 08:14, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing[edit]

I've done a little more work to clean up the article. The biggest issue right now is a lack of references from clearly reliable sources. The sources that you have seem legit but they are for the most part a little bloggy. I have very little doubt that this show itself is notable but I think that the article would be very much improved if we can add references or descriptions from newspapers, books on media history, biographies of the creators, or similar. I have doubt that these exist but the article seems much weaker without them. —mako 20:11, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
