Taken from the original PPG series article[edit]

On June 16, 2014, Cartoon Network announced plans to reboot the series in 2016.[1] Nick Jennings will serve as the executive producer.[2] Tara Strong announced on Twitter that the main characters were being recast.[3]

Tom Kenny announced that he would be back as the Mayor and the Narrator.[4] He also said that Roger L. Jackson would be back as Mojo Jojo and Jennifer Hale would be back as Ms. Keane but not as Princess.[5] Blossom will be voiced by Amanda Leighton, Bubbles by Kristen Li and Buttercup by Natalie Palamides in the rebooted series.[6] Craig McCracken gave the reboot his blessing.[7]

Incorporate this info where you can. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 13:34, 11 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Haley Mancini is now Princess.[8] InfiniHydes (talk) 04:26, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 8 April 2016[edit]

NOTE: "Who's Got The Power" by Tacocat is a referance to "The Touch" by Stan Bush

Not done: as you have not requested a specific change in the form "Please replace XXX with YYY" or "Please add ZZZ between PPP and QQQ".
More importantly, you have not cited reliable sources to back up your request, without which no information should be added to, or changed in, any article. - Arjayay (talk) 21:03, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In the last sentence of the lead paragraph, there should be a comma after "2016". Jonstorm44 (talk) 08:22, 19 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I disagree with it, but it is correct grammar. If the sentence makes sense without it and you do not tend to pause when saying it, I see no reason for the comma. But, all the guides I looked at say it should be there. I added it in. Richard-of-Earth (talk) 10:53, 19 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Staff Apology[edit]

One of the staff members for PPG2016 has recently apologized for Horn Sweet Horn and said it wasn't meant to be a episode about transgender issues.[1] I think it should be important to put in the article. 11:05, 2 May 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.141.93.177 (talk)

Not done: I cannot find mention of Horn Sweet Horn on the page. Also, it will be easier if the request were in a "Please change X to Y" format. — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 07:33, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

McCracken's tweet[edit]

Anyone please kindly give a link to the Craig McCracken's Twitter post where he denied his blessing of the reboot? JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 15:19, 29 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Here is the link: [1] further he is quoted in saying "I wish they wouldn't" when it comes to more episodes being made. [2] To me this says that he is unhappy at the way things are going. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 15:34, 29 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for finding. I added Tom Kenny's claim back. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 10:19, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome, and thanks for doing that. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 15:21, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Teen Titans Crossover[edit]

In this edit I removed content about an alleged Teen Titans / Powerpuff Girls cross over. The tweet being used as a reference was this, which says nothing about a TV episode (it could be a web game, or stickers, for all anyone knows). It also says nothing of a date of such an event, or the name of the alleged episode. This content is entirely speculative and relies entirely on interpretation of that cryptic tweet. If there are better references out there, feel free to find them, but until they are found, this is original research. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:17, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Electricburst1996 addressed this issue. Thanks for that. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:29, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fourth PPG[edit]

Does anyone think that the fourth PPG to be added in "The Power of Four" is a reincarnation of Bunny? The series has ended.[edit]

I went on this site that confirms that the series has ended.[1] This isn't a joke, right?

The show's current fate[edit]

So I don't know. A huge bulk of this show's staff has moved on to other projects. Bob Boyle is on Netflix's Chico Bon Bon, Haley Mancini is on Netflix's The Last Kids on Earth - https://www.haleymancini.com/, Jake Goldman, Kyle Neswald, Jaydeep Hasrajani and John West finished work on the show in the first half of 2018 - https://www.linkedin.com/in/jake-goldman-5975b1160/, https://www.linkedin.com/in/jaydeephasrajani/, https://www.linkedin.com/in/kyle-neswald-491639b/, https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-west-0126b330/. Because there are no word-for-word confirmations that the show is done, could this be a source? Ромми (talk) 15:14, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The source has to directly support the content being cited. Also, per Wikipedia policy, if no new episodes have aired for at least 365 days from the airdate of the last new episode, then we consider it to have ended. The Grand Delusion(Send a message) 17:24, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I wish there were more seasons since the show is on hold.[edit]

This show is on hiatus and I wish there were more seasons of this series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.25.173.138 (talk) 09:04, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The sources in this Lego article do not support any more detail on the topic than would be added as a small paragraph in context in The Powerpuff Girls (2016 TV series)#In other media. I suppose it could be merged. Striker2020 (talk) 07:23, 2 April 2021 (UTC)}}[reply]
