Article clean-up[edit]

I think this article ought to be shortened as it is substantially longer than articles for comparable schools i.e. fairly typical English state secondary schools. The article seems more like the content of the school website than an encyclopedia article. There is also only a single reference. I propose removing the following sections entirely:

  • Houses - although this might be relevant in the case of some very notable schools, the houses of which are themselves notable, it does not seem important for inclusion in this case
  • Church status - this is already mentioned in the lead
  • Ofsted - this is already mentioned in the lead
  • Facilities - none of the information in this section suggests anything notable
  • Leadership team - the head teacher is already listed in the infobox; if other roles are particularly important then they ought to be listed there also, but only the head teacher (if any roles at all) are generally listed for comparable schools)
  • Curriculum - much of this information simply reflects the national curriculum, and in any case seems like excessive detail; again little or none of this is notable
  • Admission - since the school is not selective this seems unimportant

If the information can be sourced and simplified then an 'Overview' section might be suitable to give a brief outline of the curriculum and facilities.

I also suggest reducing the number of sections by combining the following sections:

  • 'History' and 'Recent and future changes' and 'Academy'
  • 'Sports' and 'Extracurricular activities'

Controversy[edit]

The school seems to have gained national media attention on two occasions: One relating to a sex scandal, and the other relating to cost-cutting. I have added a single section giving a brief outline of both, with references. Cloudspert (talk) 22:29, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
