Crime film[edit]

There is no need for the edit warring over "action crime film" or a "crime drama film" in the lead. I reduced it to just "crime film", as that has been uncontroversial. The other descriptions are covered in the article categories. Please discuss here before changing the description in the lead. – Wallyfromdilbert (talk) 16:58, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The plot description isn't based on the actual movie[edit]

Just watched this, and the plot description doesn't line up with the movie I just saw.

Easy example - Ruby didn't shoot Helen, she pushed her down some stairs.

Other obvious errors:

* Jimmy never expressed dissatisfaction with mob life
* Jimmy never asks Kathy to go clean.
* The hits are requested by Duffy, not Kevin.
* The precise reason for the hits is never expressed.
* Ruby didn't just try to have Kevin and Colin killed, she also wanted Jimmy killed, which caused some tension with Kathy.
* "Ruby explains that she set up their husbands to be arrested, as Kevin refused to let her have a role in the family." - nope, her stated reason was that a black woman couldn't get far in Hell's Kitchen, she needed an Irish woman to take the lead.
  • Jimmy didn't take the kids to Coretti out of anger, he took them in the hope that the Italians workout shoot him in front of his kids.
  • Jimmy isn't being sheltered by the Corettis. He's there to make a deal cutting Kathy out.

And there's many more.

TL;DR - the plot synopsis appears to not actually be based on the movie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 101.53.216.214 (talk) 14:58, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
