Template is entirely unhelpful[edit]

What is the point of listing main actors on an individual movie basis? Especially when this information is already available on the pages for each movie? More to the point, why isn't there a List of characters from The Expendables film series article? This is a series which is already three movies in, surely one is warranted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.23.126.238 (talk) 09:50, 5 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Expendables (franchise)The Expendables (film series) – Per WP:NCFILM, the disambiguator "(franchise)" should only be used for multimedia franchises. As the TV series never happened, this is just a film series article. The video games and comic series are too minor for this to be considered a fully-blown franchise. Note that this was moved without discussion earlier in the year. 212.135.65.247 (talk) 14:27, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak oppose – while the TV series looks to have never come to fruition, there have been comics and video games published based on the film series, and those count. --IJBall (contribstalk) 18:46, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Film ratings[edit]

WP:FILMRATINGS says ratings should not be included unless there is "substantial coverage from reliable sources". Is there substantial coverage and is there a local consensus that agrees an exception should be made in this case?

There could be enough to make an exception but it has not yet been shown. The ratings included in the Crew table are not properly sourced and do not even pass WP:V nevermind WP:N. I do recall that the film received criticism for its rating, but maybe not from reliable sources. There is a lot of speculation about the rating of the 4th film but that doesn't even seem to be in production yet. -- 109.76.135.9 (talk) 17:20, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Removed.[1] There seem to be many franchise articles that do not pay attention to the recommendations of WP:MOSFILM but any editor should know they need to try and WP:VERIFY the information they include in articles. -- 109.76.130.179 (talk) 02:10, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
