terrible synopis[edit]

The synopsis is way, way off. I'll rewatch the film and try to fix it by the end of the week. WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 12:49, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've replaced the synopsis with a much-better one. It's a little longer than Wikipedia might think appropriate, but I couldn't make it shorter without losing a sense of the film's acrid flavor. A single-sentence description is possible -- "A young man longing to be a cowboy joins a cattle drive, and discovers just how brutal life is." -- but that doesn't tell the reader very much. I've also added a brief discussion of the film's historical accuracy. WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 17:46, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

accuracy[edit]

I'm aware that my comments on the film's historical accuracy have no references. Part of the problem is that I read things, then forget where I read them. The other part is that there are virtually no "professional" reviews of this film. I will try to fix these problems, as soon as I can. WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 14:03, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here is an excellent academic appraisal of the technical aspects of the films photography. 19 August 2013.
