Misleading claims in the article.[edit]

The one and only reference in the entire article to Butch Burroughs seeing Oswald is contained in these two sentences:

"Warren "Butch" Burroughs, manager and concession stand attendee the afternoon of Oswald's arrest, said that Oswald came into the theater between 1:00 and 1:07 pm. Burroughs further claimed he sold Oswald popcorn at 1:15 p.m."

The references given are to Douglass and The Men Who Killed Kennedy. But by mentioning only these claims by Burroughs without also making equal mention of the very different claims also made by Burroughs in the 1960s is extremely misleading, to put it mildly. On April 8, 1964, Burroughs told the Warren Commission that the first time he ever saw Oswald was not until the latter was being brought out of the theater under arrest. Specific mention of this should be included in the article to meet Wikipedia's standards of objectivity.

The second misleading claim is this:

"Texas Theatre patron Jack Davis also corroborated Burroughs' time, claiming he observed Oswald in the theater prior to 1:20 pm."

The source given is Marrs. But to call him a patron of the theater with no further clarification is misleading. The 1989 book by Marrs is the earliest known documentation of Davis ever claiming that he was in the Texas Theatre that day. Because there is no contemporaneous documentation of him being in the theater that day, this means it can never be proven that he really was there that day, and out of objectivity some statement to this effect should be added to the article.
