Sourcing[edit]

Technical documentation and its related subtopics, unfortunately, are taken for granted by subject matter experts and are often used but rarely studied. Hence, I've had a lot of trouble finding reliable sources without risking original research, which I have performed outside of Wikpedia. This page, along with the individual pages for actual technical documents, requires attention from subject matter experts. I humbly volunteer my time, and I know that there are other SMEs on the topic who edit Wikpedia. Written sources from manuals and instructional booklets might be in order rather than sources found on the web, which will, of course, increase the amount of time consumed by properly sourcing this article. Regardless, I feel that this is a worthy endeavor. Per Wikipedia:Be bold and due to the fact that this article has been inadequately sources for five years, I will start adding sources before discussion regarding those sources as this is obviously an extremely notable and vital subject, yet a layman to the subject might look at the article in its current state and have no idea. This article is in desparate need of attention now; perhaps once there is a healthy amount of sources, we can slow down and discuss things a bit more first but for the time being, direct action is needed.
