COI[edit]

I've tagged this page as having been edited by a COI. I'm fairly sure that ErinNik (talk · contribs) meets the COI criteria. Do not remove this tag until the page has been cleaned up. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 16:01, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

I've removed the images that were readded in this edit. Aside from being entirely disruptive on the page, it's turning this page into an advertisement. They're just a bunch of images that someone connected to Taunton Press compiled together and uploaded, and they're rightfully tagged for deletion since they don't meet fair use criteria. Each of those images would be better suited for the articles which they're about (e.g. the Ellie Krieger image would go on an article about her book.) — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 18:58, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Awards section[edit]

I've removed the awards section for a number of reasons. First, this huge list of awards is really nothing more than puffery that's meant to make this company seem more prolific and extravagant than it is. Wikipedia is meant to be neutral, and adding such text skews the article towards being a puff piece. Further, I find it to be a violation of WP:ADVERT, since it's overly promoting Taunton Press. And on top of all that, the press itself did not receive any of these awards - the book did. If you want to put the awards on the articles for the authors (or the books if they have an article), then great, go ahead. But they don't belong here. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 18:17, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
