Help required[edit]

I would like to add some inline citations to the Wiki "Tartarus Press" article. Specifically, the claim that it has become the book collector's "bible". There are a number of reviews to be found at http://www.tartaruspress.com/guiderev.htm , which I hope back up this claim, but I'm not sure of the best way of referencing them without it looking like an advert. I must declare an interest and say that I run the Press - but I want to make sure that the information provided is accurate and unbiased. I would also like to add any other inline citations (or persuade somebody do this for me!), if suggestions can be made for which citations are required. Many thanks in advance,

You have done just the right thing to declare your interest. This is a sensitive area for Wikipedia, which is vulnerable to being used for self-promotion. Please read Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest: basically, what you should do is suggest on this talk page changes you would like made to the article, and leave other editors to decide whether to make them. Many thanks John. If anyone would like to add citations then they are welcome to contact me via Tartarus Press for references. All the best, Ray 213.120.37.163 (talk) 18:56, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Those references are good - I have removed the "maintenance templates" from the top of the article. To be niggly, you don't actually have an independent source for the words "book dealers’ and collectors’ bible", though you have supporting evidence: it might be better to reword that to something like "has been described as 'a "must have" for your reference library', 'This essential collector's guide' and 'An extremely valuable book'", with direct in-line cites for each of those. Thanks again, John. I'll make the change you suggest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tartarusrussell (talkcontribs) 07:43, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
