Tara played at important role in open source history with her work on the Mozilla code release. There are Wikipedia articles for two men who worked at Netscape during the code release, CEO Jim Barksdale, and the free software evangelist Jamie Zawinski, who worked on Mozilla code under Tara's management, and according to his Wikipedia page, has done little work in the software industry since. Tara, by contrast, has gone on to work senior development roles at a number of tech companies, and is still working in the industry. I'm aware a page on Tara Hernandez has already been created and deleted, but I believe this is a case of implicit bias (see: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/Study?tid=-1). Considering the historical milestone the Mozilla release represented, and that Tara managed the entire development team throughout this time (as documented in Code Rush), I'm pretty certain the original article would have been expanded rather than deleted if Tara was a man. --Danylstrype (talk) 17:17, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
