Re: Plot copyright violations

In regards to Ichika Kasuga's claim that the "Plot is written by me on my own after studying various sources" in this diff, I would just like to point out that this is entirely false.

This is the first paragraph as submitted by Ichika Kasuga:

Kazuto Kirigaya and Asuna Yuuki enter the brand new virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game ((VRMMORPG)) Sword Art Online. The problem is that there's no way to log out of this dreadly game. The game's creator Akihiko Kayaba speaks to all 10,000 players to reveal that they are trapped inside this world. He insists to say that the only way to escape back to the real world is by clearing all 100 floors of the game. If they die in the game, they also die in real life meaning no return. Every single day becomes a struggle to survive so to outperform fear i.e to grow stronger.

And this is the slightly altered original source of this paragraph from [1]:

This is not appropriate and is also an example of close paraphrasing, as anything that is written on Wikipedia must be written in your own words, and cannot be simply copy/pasted and then changed slightly as was done in the above examples.--十八 22:38, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

My edits and issues with the page

I don't get why my edits were reverted. The fact that Yen Press released the English version of this movie's source material I think isn't relevant enough to be on this page. Is it relevant to mention who specifically translated it in English? Or what publishers released it in other languages? Because I think if someone added those things, they should be removed because it's just not relevant enough. This movie being "an original story by Reki Kawahara" isn't true. It isn't like Ordinal Scale where he wrote a new story for the movie. This movie is adapting a preexisting story written by Reki, which is already mentioned on the page. Progressive is categorically, objectively, not a reboot. If it were, it would totally replace the material of volumes 1, 2, and 8 in the novel, as well as the first 14 episodes of season 1, which it doesn't. I also think Kirito and Asuna's epithets aren't relevant enough. Is it relevant to mention Asuna also goes by the name Floor Clearing Demon, or Kirito also goes by Blackie? I also wanted to edit the info box but didn't due to difficulty. Why are actors and characters listed that haven't been confirmed and very likely or definitely won't even show up in the movie? Why is Reki listed for screenplay? Why is Kentaro Waki listed for Cinematography if they aren't confirmed to be? Why is there a run time? The run time hasn't been revealed yet. There's so much wrong with the article as it stands, that it will probably need a complete TNTing once the movie actually comes out, since most of the content would have to be completely rewritten and independently verified after the fact. The plot for instance would have to be replaced with an original summary, since right now it's just a copy of the content on the main article. Not to mention the rampant copyright violations that still seem to find their way in. So the way I see it now, it's more of a repository of possible information than a viable article. That's obviously something we can fix once it comes out, but for now it's been rather difficult to maintain with the back and forth between one specific editor.--十八 21:12, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

For some instant, I think its not a correct way to revert edits using special power. However, I do feel sad for users like Juhachi, who thinks that the article is a copyright violations. Junchai, you have already hurted me a lot by your statement. If you have so much problem regarding this article then why didn't you rise issue in talk page. What were you doing in last 30 days? I am feeling like jumping from the top floor of my house. Because you editors doesn't rise issue immediately after a edit is being made. Further, most importantly none of the words written in the article is copyright. Also, available sources are already supporting the statement in the passage. If Yen Press hasn't released the English version of this movie's source material, then who have translated ? Is Yen Press irrelevant or fraud that is claiming the source english version or what do you meant by that? If you know the publisher of other language then add. I have no problem against this publishers but I added yen press because its a english wikipedia article. The runtime is given 100 mins because its a anime film not a short animated feature, when the film is released then the runtime will be updated again. Also Reki conducted the screenplay. Yes, it is confirmed that Kentaro Waki listed for Cinematography. Further, you all shouldn't revert each other edits to consider that your own edits is best for the article. Frankly, editing the article has become something of a Sisyphean task. Any edits that other editors do to try to improve the hodge-podge nature of the resulting content in the article are summarily reverted by you anyway, making editing the article a chore, and quite honestly, a complete waste of time until the film actually comes out and we have sufficient information to populate the article as it should be, instead of just trying to throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. The fact is, much of the article's early history had to be completely deleted due to copyright issues, and you simply machine-translated this article and popped it onto the Japanese Wikipedia which is in the process of itself being deleted. So you're free to edit this article, but expect to have your edits challenged if others disagree with you, especially if your edits have no valid basis in reliable, third-party sources.--十八 11:49, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

I am giving up. Do what ever you want? If you think that your edit summary is much better than me, then what can I do, after all its just the matter of reader's convenience. Further, the fact is I don't want to fall three-revert rule violation. And the fact you told about the translation is not something I want hear from you. Its my first translation, so it doesn't matter if it gets deleted. I will try to learn translating again with better word syntax. See the history to know who reverts the most and you tells me that I am the only one who reverts this page. I might be a new user to you. But you should atleast encourage me in positivity instead of personal attacking me with negative and depressing statement. And remember one important thing in your entire life that there is always someone better than you. So, stop blaming me in copyright issue within the boundary of this article. I have not personally attacked you, I have attacked your editing practices, which have a history of copyright violations and additions of material that cannot be independently verified, as stated on this talk page by me and at least one other editor. That is not a personal attack on you personally, even if you might take it as such. I have brought up that the content you have added has been problematic in a few areas, and that is valid criticism. I have no problem with you. Be encouraging rather looking at the past. I am the worst at the beginning but that doesn't meant that I keep getting insulted with previous copyright issue within the article. I am also human like who wants to live in dignity. But I have seen that some editors doesn't seem to like my edits as far as their concern is I am new. I should give reference to every word I added in a edit. Are you all kidding me? I haven't slept for last four days. What type of people are you all? You all don't have sympathy in me. Everyone find my edits problematic. OK, I agree that you remove the runtime. But what about the rest? All statement has reference supporting and backing each other. If I revert your edits, you would say that I am a worst editor.
