Requested move 28 September 2023[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Moved, consensus in this discussion is clearly against "Theranda City Stadium" and supportive of "Suva Reka City Stadium", the previous stable title. The alternative proposal "Suhareka City Stadium" was not discussed enough here to form a consensus, but it may be raised again in a new RM if desired. Theranda City StadiumSuva Reka City Stadium – First, Theranda is the unofficial name of Suva Reka and second, "Suva Reka City Stadium" is the original name of the stadium, and we should revert to that.
→ An editor named RoyalHeritageAlb has changed without discussion (at least on the talk page there is no evidence that this change was discussed) the name of the article from Suva Reka City Stadium to Theranda City Stadium. If that is the official name of the stadium sure go ahead and revert it. I readed the name officially as "Theranda City Stadium" somewhere but i might be mistaken. RoyalHeritageAlb (talk) 23:35, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In order to return the old name of the article, it must be done through this procedure that the article, talk page and edit history of the two articles are merged into one such as "Suva Reka City Stadium: and in case you agree with this, support this move, in this way "Support – according to the above arguments". • Support – I made the move without consensus just revert it if you want there is no need for votes. Put it Сува Река too. RoyalHeritageAlb (talk) 19:24, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support move. The town is at Suva Reka. Also note that the es.wiki and sr.wiki use "Suva Reka". Pichpich (talk) 21:26, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment While Theranda City Stadium has no merit, the article should be called Suhareka City Stadium, not Suva Reka City Stadium. The club whose home ground is in the stadium, FC Ballkani, calls it Stadiumi i Qytetit të Suharekës[1] (Suhareka City Stadium). This stadium is not really mentioned a lot, but where it is mentioned, it seems to be mentioned as Suhareka City Stadium, with Suva Reka City Stadium and Theranda City Stadium producing ZERO results even on Google Trends.[2][3] The fact that the stadium is located in Suva Reka plays no role here, since we're basically talking about the name of a stadium and the team that owns the stadium can call it whatever it likes. This is also not unprecedented; for example Patriarchate of Peć (monastery) is located in Peja, but is not called the Patriarchate of Peja on Wikipedia.
