Reason for re-creation?[edit]

It was previously decided this page was to be deleted and it was. What is the rationale for re-creating it now? Has her notability recently changed? C.harrison1988 (talk) 15:00, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Lady Stewart[edit]

I'm getting sick and tired of having to correct this ridiculous insistence on referring to her as "Lady Stewart". That title is a courtesy title only. She does not have a damehood in her own right and she is not professionally referred to in that way. For the purposes of Wikipedia she is simply 'Sunny Ozell'.

What can be done about this? Because it seems that after I remove it, someone has to go back in a few weeks later and repeat the mistake. C.harrison1988 (talk) 10:10, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As an attempt to appease both sides, moved it from her "official name" section to say "may be referred to as Lady Stewart". If this is satisfactory to c.harrison1988 Tealshelf (talk) 03:39, 31 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As a non-British subject (she's American) is she even legally entitled to be called Lady Stewart? I understand courtesy titles and whatnot but are those only applicable to British subjects or to a citizen of any nationality who is married to a British title or style holder? 98.10.165.90 (talk) 14:58, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, as the wife of a British subject she is fully entitled to use the courtesy title, just like Jamie Lee Curtis is (The Right Honourable The Lady Haden-Guest). However, the use of a courtesy title contrary to the wishes of the holder is inappropriate, while refusing to use it in certain contexts may be seen a very rude -- for example, if she does use the title, introducing them as "Sir Patrick Stewart and Ms Sunny Ozell" would be very rude. This really is not hard, as it's much the same sort of thinking as any married woman using her husband's name: if she doesn't call herself Mrs Doe, don't call her that! 104.58.204.36 (talk) 01:44, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A small point of chronology, but…[edit]

The article mentioned she has two step-children through SirPatStew, but what isn't mentioned is that those step-children are — in fact — older than her; his children were born in 1967 and 1972, and as of this comment are both now in their 50s, while his wife was born in 1978 and is 45. His kids were in elementary school when his wife was born.

Can we also talk about how she was working as a waitress at the time they started their relationship, with SirPatStew being a quite larger-than-life persona (having long been a globally renowned actor… he did his work in Dune before she was in Kindergarten)? She's this unknown and he's on this whole other level. Not even two years after they marry, she has her debut album.

Please don't take this to be a dig on his work, or hers; the questions I have regarding their relationship are from my unease with it due to apparent groomer-ish vibes, and I'm sure that does nothing to ease the tension he has with his kids, but I digress.

Seems an important note of context to at least mention that bit of chronology, to add context to the strangeness in their personal lives. Morgan Phoenix (talk) 09:58, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
