Section Names[edit]

The Section headings are Domestic Debut and Test debut. We could change that. Also, why are we posting List A and first class for Sunil Gavaskar. Makes the article look messy.

Do not revert legitimate, resourced facts[edit]

I added some facts about Gavaskar's recent critiques of world cricket in an attempt to put them into context - in the article, there is little about his life since his retirement from cricket and that was twenty years ago. The facts that were put in were properly considered and referenced. Do not revert them. Instead, try a bit harder to improve the article: many of the statements are POV and are not referenced. Overall, the article requires some serious copy editing to ensure it is of encyclopaedic quality. A biography should reveal a rounded portrait of its' subject, not a rambling discourse on how many runs he made during his career. Gavaskar is a major figure in world cricket whose life needs to be explained to the potential reader. sunil gavaskar proud to be maharashtrian

Orphaned references in Sunil Gavaskar[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sunil Gavaskar's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
