Generator is Missed![edit]

Only solution algorithmics are showed, is very important to show a generator algorithmic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.50.233.2 (talk) 20:56, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The backtracking algorithm will act as a generator when run on an empty board. The Perl code is still available somewhere in the history of the page. -Zahlentheorie (talk) 21:03, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The article is about solving, not generating Sudoku's. That would be off-topic. — MFH:Talk 13:18, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Animated GIF for Exact Cover Visualisation[edit]

Created this GIF of a Sudoku solver that I wrote in Javascript - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sudoku_Exact_Cover.gif, for visualising the solution by exact cover.

@MrOllie My revision is valid and cites reliable sources[edit]

The wiki is created by Andrew Stuart, a published author in Sudokus. And the video by Simon Anthony, former UK team member World Sudoku championships. They are very reliable and verifiable sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PedroContipelli (talkcontribs) 20:16, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Outside of very limited exceptions which do not apply here, we don't use self published sources on Wikipedia. See WP:RS for details. MrOllie (talk) 20:26, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
