Main page[edit]

I'd like to start a discussion on which "Styx" article should be the main one. I think that the disambiguation page should be "main-ified," because there could be a lot of people looking for the band (like me), but I also agree that the mythological Styx river is important. Having two topics of (I'm assuming) equal interest and/or relevance indicates to me that the disambiguation page should be the main page. OverMyHead 15:25, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Although some of the computer games are just a misspelling of 'sticks', all the others are named after the mythological river so really that should be the main article, if at all. I think more people are going to looking for that rather than the band; personally I would leave it as it is. Marasmusine 15:31, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Styx the mythological river is the basis for all the Styxes, and it is known in a wider range of English-speaking areas (crank up that Styx Fan Club in Wellington!). If you think this is really a problem, a compromise would be to change the the lead-in to: This article is about the mythological river. For the band, see Styx (band). For other uses, see Styx (disambiguation). - DavidWBrooks 19:03, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why not move the disambiguation page to Styx? Wodup 06:03, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
After actually reading the comments above, I guess that I would agree with OverMyHead. Wodup 06:05, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I concur with Marasmusine for the reasons stated. Even the band is named for the river. --DrGaellon (talk | contribs) 13:53, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
