Proposed edits for rating upgrade[edit]

Thank you Robinvp11 for tightening some of my sloppy wording. I was of the understanding though that assertions made in the lede section needn't require references if there's referenced material discussing those issues in the body. Sovietblobfish (talk) 19:25, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In theory, the Lede shouldn't require any references but since 60% of readers never go further, it might be worth inserting one because its a fairly fundamental claim.

I've added a Map - they're easy to do (took me about 10 minutes) and makes it so much easier to follow.

It's 'hardline' not "hardliner"; maybe I've missed it but you should explain somewhere what that means (I'm assuming Catholic League but its not obvious).

I still don't understand this sentence Once he had cooled, he countermanded all verbal orders he had sent out.[6] It is thus clear then that the orders did not contain instructions to commit a massacre. The second part seems to contradict the first ie if he hadn't ordered a massacre, what exactly was he countermanding? Robinvp11 (talk) 16:21, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Its not yet Catholic league, this is too early for that but it means fairly fundamentalist, I should explain somewhere I shall edit that. He countermanded the orders to seize their property and put them in prison, as the governor of Lyon, Mandelot had done. Sovietblobfish (talk) 19:07, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
