Libertyville[edit]

The Village of Libertyville is not listed in the unincorporated areas section. Libertyville was originally known as Cook's Settlement. The name was later changed to Kincaid and then to Libertyville. The town was once a thriving farm community. It had several blacksmith shops, a school, a store, post office, and at least two churches. When I was a child growing up there in the 50's and 60's we kids found an old stone foundation that supposedly had been a grain mill. As of 2005 there was still evidence of the old Houck Railroad North of Libertyville.Thundercloud47 (talk) 15:39, 20 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Great Seal Controversy[edit]

I can't believe nothing in this article touches upon the matter of the county's seal, which made massive national news early in 2022. Given that the Great Seals of many governments is included pro forma in Wikipedia articles, this is appropriate for inclusion.

I'd put it in myself but I always get yelled at for not doing the links correctly. Unschool 18:28, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I took a bit of time and added it: St. Francois County, Missouri#Seal Sockwell162 (talk) 07:04, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
