Title[edit]

I am moving this to Super Aleste. This title is the original, connects the title to the Aleste series for easier identification, it has appeared by this name in the West, and this article seems to set a standard. Also... this isn't an American encyclopedia, now is it?

Someone who is more knowledgeable on consensus concerning this and related issues is free to lecture me, I would appreciate it! Hattes 01:26, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

American box art shows Space Megaforce. Super Aleste, according to the wiki, is the Japanese title. And no, this is not the Japanese wiki. Leitmotiv (talk) 07:59, 5 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the game is also known as Super Aleste in the PAL regions; It's only Space Megaforce in the NA NTSC region. Besides, it's original release is in Japan, not North America. Ergo, Super Aleste is both the original name of the game and the name it's recognised by in most regions, so the title of this article really ought to reflect this. By your logic, the title of the Thunder Force IV page should be "Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar"! XD 86.156.176.201 (talk) 13:26, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is the English wiki article, which focuses on English first. That's why it's at Space Megaforce right now. This isn't the Japanese wiki article, so English takes priority. Leitmotiv (talk) 19:39, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If this article wants to move back to Super Aleste, someone will need to change the picture to the PAL version. If you don't, the article and the graphic will be at odds with each other. For the record, we aren't moving this back to Super Aleste because that's what Japan calls it. That's irrelevant since this is the English wiki. However, we could rename the article to Super Aleste per the European version if we get the proper graphic. However, it should be noted, that the PAL doesn't necessarily mean English, and PAL games often include German, French, Spanish and other languages thereby making them non-English specific. The english wiki does not cater to non-English titles as a default. It defaults to English first. Leitmotiv (talk) 01:29, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What are they saying?[edit]

Before almost every boss in the game starts firing, they say something. Unfortunantly, it's hard to understand what they are saying, due to sound quality. Could someone please tell me what they say? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.144.17.158 (talk) 19:17, 3 June 2008 (UTC) you should have a look at the sound settings — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.50.93.243 (talk) 18:02, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sound settings are no clearer really. This was one of my favourite SNES games growing up. From what I can gather (the European bosses) say: stage 1 - Welcome to the underworld, Stage 2 - Give me a break will you!, Stage 4 - Hey, hot shot! (dubious), Stage 5 - Down with you!, Stage 7 - what a brave guy you are, Stage 8 - I'll watch you die!, stage 10 - fancy meeting you here, Final - I came from the world beyond. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C5:352A:F400:DD58:192B:6297:B133 (talk) 15:40, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
