Name[edit]

According to the organization's website, its official name is "Sons of The American Legion".[1] The website uses the name "(the) Sons of The American Legion", with all three last words capitalized, throughout. I therefore propose to change the first sentence of the article to, "The Sons of The American Legion (SAL) is a non-profit organization of male descendants of men or women who served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War I or since December 7, 1941, through a date of cessation of hostilities as determined by the federal government."  --Lambiam 16:40, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
