[Comment by sangfroid]Information (the death of Smita Patil) repeated in the last paragraph. Must be rephrased.

Untitled[edit]

Patil was also an accomplished photographer. Smita Patil died during childbirth and is survived by a son. She was married to the Hindi film actor Raj Babbar. Tragically she died in 1986 of complications after giving birth to Raj Babbar's son.

Awards[edit]

Filmfare for Marathi films? I dont think they do that. Do they? -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 15:03, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeh they do. The awards used to be presented at the very original Filmfare function for Hindi films until 2000 (and so were awards for Bengali films until some point). See for example the last. ShahidTalk2me 16:07, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh! i see!! This should go on Filmfare Awards then. Another thing thats missing there is the reason of why 1987 & 88s awards were not presented. I couldnt find any good sources. -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 06:56, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On what basis has this comment been added to this article'Raj Babbar & Smita Patil were together less than 2 years as husband & wife - which many Indians believe to be an example of the Law of Karma in action : "Ye shall reap as ye have sowed."' Totally uncalled for statement.
