Merge/redirect[edit]

The following discussion is closed and will soon be archived.

Per WP:MERGEREASON, it is often appropriate to merge "if a page is very short" (this is a one-liner) and "unlikely to be expanded within a reasonable amount of time" (it's been a one-liner for nearly 10 years) it "often makes sense to merge it with a page on a broader topic" (there is a broader topic article covering Dublin quays which offers the reader more context and value than this near DICDEF one-liner). Unless there are (further?) objections, I'm inclined to merge/redirect to Dublin quays. (If it hasn't been expanded into a standalone article in the past decade, one wonders whether that is likely to change. If significant content is added later, it can always be restored....) Any thoughts on this? I might take a look at expanding myself in the coming weeks. If I am unable to eexpand this beyond one or two sentences, then I'll go ahead with the merge myself. Guliolopez (talk) 17:31, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Resolved OK. I didn't hear from anyone else, so went ahead. Per my comment, (despite nothing else happening in the past decade or so), I found enough cited content myself to expand this beyond a one-liner stub. And hence, rather than merging, I've expanded enough so that it can "stand alone". I've removed the {merge} tag (added by myself) as a result. Guliolopez (talk) 16:14, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In literature[edit]

Don't know how this could be worked into the present text but ... I think it's sort of worth mentioning that at the beginning of the "Lotus-Eaters" episode of Ulysses, Leopold Bloom is walking along this street. Daniel Case (talk) 07:26, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
