Baron?[edit]

This article needs citations to verify the title of 6th Baron Daubeney; I placed a tag in the article to that effect. Wikipedia has an article on Giles Daubeny, 1st Baron Daubeny (d.1508), including a redirect to from "8th Baron Daubeny". This designation is also found on the website thePeerage.com. This one is listed as the sixth in The Complete Peerage, as cited in the article. The problem is the titles are muddled up in the sources. Some sources list numerous barons before the one who died in 1508 - see Baron Daubeny for 'the list'. Read the talkpage of the 1508 one: Talk:Giles Daubeny, 1st Baron Daubeny. We should probably discuss this over there, and keep everything on one talkpage.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 08:50, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The article "Daubeney family" in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography gives none of the baronial titles, save calling Elis (Elias) by a title of Lord Daubeney in the time of Edward I. There is clearly a scholarly problem here. Charles Matthews (talk) 06:56, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Removed the Rayment reference as unreliable on this point, moved the page, and tidied up. Charles Matthews (talk) 07:19, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
