Use of Sinus Iridum photo in other stub articles[edit]

Wanted to add the File:Wac sinus iridum300m.png with all it's annotations from this page to the stub articles Promontorium Laplace and Promontorium Heraclides which don't have any photo.

Also thought it would make a great additional orientation photo for stub articles Helicon Crater and Bianchini Crater which already have a close up photo.

Don't know how to do it though. Tiddy (talk) 03:41, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Common misspelling "Sinus Iridium"[edit]

Having an active interest in Astronomy from age 8 (I eventually read Honours Astronomy at university) I grew up misreading the name as misspelled above (with an intrusive "i") and still do – in my head it will always be "Iridium".

I've seen this error in publications, and just noticed it again on a map of the area in a current article (about Chang'e and Jade Rabbit) on Sky & Telescope magazine's website.

Although I haven't time myself right now (goofing off for 5 minutes at work) I wanted to record the suggestion that this error's frequency be reliably sourced and mentioned, if only to assure those like me who come to the article that they're not alone! {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 212.95.237.92 (talk) 21:42, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The third image at the right side of the article (labelled "View of Sinus Iridium and its surrounding features...) could use fixing. Not aware of how to make the fix myself. Jimkinna (talk) 02:07, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
