QS ranking[edit]

I tried to include QS ranking which is standard for all universities wiki but someone reverted. Why? The person mentioned SMU is a specialist university as his excuse. I fail to understand how that means we cannot include SMU's QS/THES/ARWU rankings.

Yes, so? Specialist universities are well ranked by QS, some like Cal Tech and LSE even top it. I hope to include the QS ranking soon.

Specialized universities are not immune from ranking.Seriouzscholar (talk) 06:59, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No matter the University, QS ranking should be reinstated with the other ranking information for viewers discretion. Rongyao (talk) 12:04, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest[edit]

@Bluestsky99: You may declare in your user page on your relationship with SMU.

[edit]

Please replace the main logo of SMU with a bette equality with transparent background. I have found this as the finest quality to the best of my ability. Rongyao (talk) 12:02, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a school of SMU that practices research, innovation and entrepreneurship training for the students of the university. Established in 2009, the institute's curriculum includes academic and non-academic programs along with summer internships at startups under its Global Innovation Immersion programme.[1] In 2017, the institute launched Protégé Ventures, a student-run venture fund and training program.[2][3] The institute organizes a notable startup business competition called Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition (LKYGBPC) which witnesses business plan entries from global universities.[4][5] According to media reports, the prize money of the competition totals up to USD one million.[6][5] In 2020, the competition received submissions from over 650 universities including Harvard University, University of Cambridge, Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and University of Oxford, among others.[7]

COI disclosure for the request. --YutaMales (talk) 21:18, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

check Partially implemented - I've mostly added your suggestions. I've removed some information which is too promotional, such as the list of prestigious universities participating in the competition, (per WP:PROMO). I've also left out some sources which appear to be primarily e-commerce sites (per the WP:ELNO and WP:AFFILIATE external link guidelines), the remaining information is still well-sourced.
