Cat man do premiere date[edit]

Where does the 2008 premiere date come from? In the Tandem Films blog post dated 24 October 2007 it is mentioned that the clip "is now officially a web phenomenon, having clocked-up almost one million hits on just one of its numerous YouTube posting". Reading the above blog carefully, it sounds like what happened was the clip was uploaded to [1] by Tandem Films or Tofield. This was then uploaded by others to Youtube. It was only uploaded to Youtube on Tofield's channel on 4 March 2008 (the existence of an earlier upload by either Tandem or Tofield on Youtube can't be ruled out from the info thus far, so I would be reluctant to say the 4 March 2008 was definitely the first official upload to Youtube). Not Up To Date[edit]

There are also a series of Simon Drawing various characters and promotions for the new film in colour. Various Compilations of existing episodes have also been published.

Between "Lunch Break" and "Santa Claws" was "Beyond the Fence - Simon's Cat UK TV Advert" Beyond the Fence - Simon's Cat UK TV Advert (Real Ep No 11) Uploaded on Nov 24, 2010 This TV advert was created to coincide with the launch of Simon's Cat: Beyond the Fence, The second Simon's Cat book.

"This article relies too much on references to primary sources. (September 2013)" Since much of the available updated info is published primarily (and originally) by the Author, Wikipedia's content rules forbid use of such up to date info, until it is copied and republished by reputable secondary sources. The table coding is too complicated and tedious to hand edit, and since reversals are easily done on this "references to primary sources" premise, casual editors are no longer interested in making contestable changes that are actually "up to date". 27.33.81.97 (talk) 21:42, 1 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Finished playing here, including donating ages ago. So WP can disregard certain types of creative output by any artist eg (pick any name, eg Rembrandt, Michelangelo, etc) because the arrogance of WP refuses to accept the real world, or Primary Sources such as the author etc. No wonder WP is ridiculed in Academic circles, and not allowed as an acceptable academic reference. :-) 203.194.52.92 (talk) 22:56, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Clearly not, as you've come back to comment. It's got nothing to do with "disregarding content" - an advertisement for a program is simply not equivalent to an episode of the program. Misinterpret all you want, but that's the gist of it, and Michaelangelo's got nothing to do with it. I'd also point out that encyclopedias are almost never "acceptable academic sources" past grade school, and I'm not sure where you got the idea that being an acceptable academic sources was ever Wikipedia's intent.
