What Happened to Shoup's hulking (875 pound) machines?[edit]

Some were dumped in the ocean to create artificial reefs. One expert says, "now the fish are voting with them." One is in the New York State Museum in Albany and some are still used for "local school, library, and municipal elections" according to this July 14, 2017 article in the Daily Beast: RIP, Lever Voting Machines
