Untitled[edit]

As this page is a disambiguation page now, it does not make sense for the talk page to redirect to the talk page of one, even if by far the most important, of the terms on the page. I do believe though that Sherpa should redirect to Sherpa people and that this page should be Sherpa (disambiguation).

It does make sense for NPOV to list the usage as "Mountain Guide" as a used meaning for the term. It can be marked as "often considered offensive" but it is frequently used in the press, especially the non-American and non-Nepalese press, and readers may want to go there. I think that a page for "Sherpa guides" would be a useful fork. -- Michael Scott Cuthbert (talk) 23:25, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

An alternative for this particular use might be link to Sherpa people#Mountaineering, rather than necessarily having a separate page for their guide work.Klbrain (talk) 17:25, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
