NATO reporting name and Sheldon names clearly should be merged. I would suggest the more official name as actual page and the other one as redirect. But which name is more official? Tomdo08 (talk) 17:56, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - "Sheldon names" don't appear to be related to the NATO system except in that they were assigned to Soviet vehicles. - BilCat (talk) 18:14, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - As BilCat notes, the two schemas are unrelated. In fact, the NATO codenames were classified, so Sheldon's identification system was intended to offer a practical approach for non-classified usage. Askari Mark (Talk) 02:08, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
