Shane Acker is notable, a Google-search turns up 494,000 results from his name alone. The top 20 results are all related to the director of 9. He also has a full-length, feature film based on his original idea for God's sake! Jackass110 (talk) 01:09, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't be abusive. Also if he is notable you may wish to put in what he is notable for plus some references. All you say is he made a short film and had another film based off it, you don't even show what the films are. Canterbury Tail talk 01:16, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How am I being abusive? I believe that the reason why this article was nominated for a speedy delete is because someone is flexing their power, or has a personal grudge against him. Along the same reasoning that this article was nominated for a speedy delete, Sergey Brinn or Lary Page should not have their own articles, and instead should be mentioned as a blurb on the Google page. You state: "you don't even show what the films are"...are they not in the article? Did you even read the article (granted it is only one line for now). I can post references if you wish, but I believe, respectfully of course, you are capable of performing a Google search for 'Shane Acker' and finding them yourself. Yes I did read the article, and this is what it said at that point. "Shane Acker is the director of the short film, which the upcoming feature film of the same name is based upon." If you click on links you can tell what they are, but the article didn't actually say. And assume good faith, don't accuse other editors of wanting to flex their personal power or having a grudge against this person. Canterbury Tail talk 09:50, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The name of the movie is 9 (as in the number nine) and it is in the article. I would suggest reading the article again carefully, perhaps increasing the font size on your browser could help? Just a friendly tip! Jackass110 (talk) 06:36, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay Canterbury Trail I owe you an appology. It looks that when I originally created the article I MEANT to put in the name of the movie 9, but linked to its article instead. Subsequent edits by others fixed that. So I appologize. Jackass110 (talk) 06:41, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Accepted. It was an easy enoughmistake to make, especially when you're relatively new to editing on Wikipedia. Happy editing. Canterbury Tail talk 00:58, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
