Plural of Sgt Major[edit]

I’ve just had an edit reverted claiming that South Africa does not follow the convention of using the plural “Sergeants Major”! I Dispute that but don’t want to start an edit war BoonDock (talk) 11:30, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You made the change, so the onus is on you to support, with references, to support your claims.

What WP:RS did you cite that you are correct and the article is wrong?
Did you read the sergeant major article which explains the difference?
The South African Army itself routinely uses "sergeant majors" - e.g. [1], [2], [3]
