Death[edit]

@Cbl62, StonyBrook, and Vaticidalprophet: According to this page, Solveig E. Weaver, born on 17 December 1924, died on 3 March 2020. I don't know how reliable this is. TSventon (talk) 14:02, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

On balance, I am inclined to believe dignitymemorial.com when they say Weaver died at the age of 95. The site is used in 200 articles. Without paying a fee, I don't know what data spokeo.com are using, so I would ignore it. One article quotes Spokeo, saying "However, an assertion exists on the social network aggregator website, Spokeo, that ..."

I am inclined to believe it myself, especially because of the matching birth date. However, the name in that combination does not appear in the article, and surprisingly to me, this name is not as uncommon as I thought. The Who's Who reference I added says that William Merritt Weaver married Solveig Eklund, which would make Solveig Eklund Weaver a likely married name. The other link does have a different date of birth.

Obituary is without a doubt her. I've added to the article seeing as there seems to be a consensus. Spokeo is a data harvesting site (like Clustrmaps or MyLife) and it is not reliable. They poach stats from residency records, but if they're not informed of a death, the person remains living in their "records". I've found individuals on there that died over 20 years ago listed as "living". --Jkaharper (talk) 11:20, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
