Origin of the word[edit]

I understand that the reference states the term came from "The Persian words for 'Milk' and 'Sugar'", but the "seersucker" article lists it to [the relatively similar] "hindustan words kheer aur shakkar" but it seems as though we should make a consensus coordinating between the two.
