Collection[edit]

This could really use much more of a description of the museum's collection. If it weren't for the way people here have been lately [[demanding citations for the obvious, I'd do it myself, but I'm not going to look for a citation for each work. Any such list should mention Paolo Uccello, Constantin Brancusi, Mary Cassatt, Seattleites Mark Tobey, Morris Graves, Guy Anderson, Jacob Lawrence and Gwendolyn Knight (an entire room is dedicated to these last two), Do-Ho Suh (there is a very major piece of his, "Some/One"), very fine collections of contemporary African art, Australian aboriginal art, Northwest Native art, and photography. (The "usual suspects" in 20th century U.S. art are also generally represented by good pieces: Jasper Johns, Willem de Kooning, Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, Georgia O'Keeffe, etc.). Probably most of this can be cited from [1] and related articles, if someone has the patience. - Jmabel | Talk 04:44, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What's the mission? Shouldn't it be the second sentence? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.8.10.4 (talk) 06:16, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Front Street? First Ave?[edit]

I added this and then removed it because it doesn't seem to check out. Did Front Street become 1st Ave?

Arthur Armstrong Denny home

The art museum is on the site of Arthur Armstrong Denny's 1865 home at 613 1/2 Front Street. FloridaArmy (talk) 02:22, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Front Street did indeed become 1st Avenue. I would check with The Times archive for articles that link this Denny home to the art museum property, as anything else would be WP:OR. SounderBruce 06:02, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Building design and construction[edit]

Wasn't the building design and construction considered an engineering "art" in itself, as particularly challenging? This would make a for a nice section expansion. This article is rather sparse, considering. SchmuckyTheCat (talk) 08:06, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
