Re: Notability -- he's a member of the National Academy of Engineering, made substantial contributions to the field, and had substantial impact in industry. He's made major contributions that today anyone who has taken an undergraduate networking course learns about. For example, [[1]] is standard material (open any undergraduate networking textbook, e.g. Kurose & Ross, Peterson and Davie, etc). Re: industry, this is a company he founded; Software Defined Networking (something he's one of the leaders in) is considered the "new wave" in networking technology. This is the company he founded: [[2]] While he only needs to meet one of the notability guidelines to stay, I'd say he fits several: 3, 1, and 7 easily.
