[Untitled][edit]

Note that Saint Lawrence is the 4th smallest village in the maltese islands. 1st Mdina, 2nd Bidnija, 3rd Ghasri and 4th Saint Lawrence. I can confirm this from the last documents that were made in the beginning of this year. I would appreciate if you take notice of this, Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.158.109.155 (talk) 11:10, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Although San Lawrenz does translate into Saint Lawrence I doubt if the name of the Village translates. Anyone seen it used like this elsewhere? --Inkwina (talk · contribs) 20:52, 30 July 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Inkwina (talkcontribs) [reply]

Move from "Saint Lawrence, Malta" to "San Lawrenz"[edit]

I just moved the page from "Saint Lawrence, Malta" to "San Lawrenz". I did this because the village is always known as San Lawrenz, even in English (for example see local council website). Similarly, the San Ġwann and Santa Luċija are not referred to as "St. John" or "St. Lucy".

The exceptions would be St. Julian's (Maltese: San Ġiljan) and St. Paul's Bay (Maltese: San Pawl il-Baħar), where the English name is in wide use so it is acceptable here. Xwejnusgozo (talk) 22:30, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
