Husband?[edit]

According to the article she is currently married to three different people: Dennis Waterman, Sylvester McCoy and David Thompson. Could someone clear up this confusion? (Neither Waterman's nor McCoy's Wikipedia entry mentions her at all as far as I can see...) Jon Rob 08:38, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The sources I've found (imDb, screenonline) only mention one marriage, to Tom Stern. She is listed as the mother of Jenna Stern and Nicolas Stern, from this marriage. I'll keep looking--Marysunshine 18:55, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Looks to me as if hoaxers have been busy. Here are the claims:
She is currently married to British actor Dennis Waterman.
Not confirmed by IMDb
In the course of shooting this film she met her current husband Stuart Whitman, with whom she has a son and a daughter.
Not confirmed by IMDb
While on set she met her future husband Simon Quinlank, who was then working as a cameraman.
Hoax: Quinlank is a fictional character.
She is currently married to former Doctor Who actor, Sylvester McCoy.
McCoy's wife is called Agnes (nee Verkaik) [1]
Indeed, she is understood to be working on a television project with her husband, David M. Thompson, the current head of films and single drama for the BBC.

PS: It all tracks down to a recent edit by 86.20.185.128 (talk · contribs), who has made a series of dubious edits. I've reverted it and removed the tag. Tearlach 23:33, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your good (and speedy!) work.--Marysunshine 18:53, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is the link to the correct Tom Stern? The one in question would appear to be too young to have married her in the 1960s. LymeRegis (talk) 05:39, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jim/Timothy Hutton[edit]

The article says, "Eggar starred in the comedy Walk, Don't Run (1966) with Cary Grant in his last picture and Jim Hutton, father of actor Timothy Hutton." Timothy Hutton seems to be completely irrelevant to Samantha Eggar, unless one thinks that Jim Hutton is not a famous actor except in relation to his son. I'm removing the reference to Timothy.
