Scouting[edit]

The Japanese article links him to Boy Scouting, in what context? Chris 01:58, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Still wondering, 10 years on.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 08:45, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Succession[edit]

Who was he succeeded by? I can't find this in the article and none of the templates being used are in chronological order or have a 'next PM' part. -Theanphibian (talkcontribs) 16:34, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The {{Prime Ministers of Japan}} template at the bottom of the article is in chronologic order. After Saitō was Keisuke Okada. Neier 11:49, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

tenure as Governor-General of Korea[edit]

Someone who is a bit more of a historian than I am might want to add some lines on the relative positives in Korea during his tenure (balanced by some of the efforts to clamp down on dissent). Admiral Saito's administration was a relative bright spot during Japan's generally oppressive colonial rule over Korea, and it would be good to detail some of that. Any takers? Kushibo (talk) 03:57, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

assassination[edit]

He is listed as being assassinated, but there is nothing in the article. Help? Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 00:47, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Saitō Makoto/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

For such a significant person it should be possible to find some decent references and write a lot more. Also needs sections. ssepp(talk) 20:59, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move page to Saito Makoto?[edit]

Hello, I've realised that Shinzo Abe, the Japanese prime minister who was unfortunately assassinated recently, has no macron in his page title. I was wondering if we should add the change to this one too, to keep consistency. AkiyamaKana (talk) 11:12, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
