Summaries[edit]

While the recently removed summary wasn't idea, this episode list needs better summaries. These are too short and some are short to the point of near uselessness. Good 150-300 word summaries are needed for each episode. Also, episode 84 and 85 need their summaries checked, since its seeming to be the same thing. Episode 88 is a slightly better summary, but all of them need checking and redoing. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 04:16, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Totally agree. Just for comparison, what do you think of the ones in the season 1 article? --Masamage 04:26, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It has the same issue. Sailor Moon S and SuperS have slightly better ones, but sporadically. Stars has the best, for length, with a few exceptions. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 04:30, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, okay. And I guess there are featured lists we can use as templates. No sense reinventing the wheel. --Masamage 04:39, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We can't really use them to get the summaries from though LOL. But yes, there are FL episode lists we can use for templates on size, and for the leads. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 04:50, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Episode Order[edit]

It doesn't matter if episodes are aired out of order, overall show number does not change. ---Shadow (talk) 07:32, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sez who? :) --Masamage 08:13, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It happens all the time. tons of TV shows air episodes out of order, but it doesn't change their overall number, especially with anime when episodes are meant to be ina certain order. ---Shadow (talk) 08:27, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, I guess. In this case, though, the English episodes were given their "official" numbers out-of-order from the Japanese ones by YTV. There's a ref showing as much on their website. --Masamage 23:55, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
One site putting those numbers doesn't make then real, you need more then one site saying it. It's like YTV saying that episodes 83-89 in English don't exist when that is obviously not possible. ---Shadow (talk) 00:01, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's not just a site, is the thing. They were the originating TV station, so they've got the right to assign episode numbers even if those numbers are totally ridiculous (which they are). Certainly DiC/Cookie Jar isn't arguing with them. Sailor Moon isn't even mentioned on its website. --Masamage 00:08, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
These are also the people who said that episodes 83-89 don't exist, which pretty much changes everything. You can't say an episode doesn't exist, it doesn't work that way. As for these, they just put them in the order they aired, that doesn't mean they are the real numbers. ---Shadow (talk) 02:40, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
They don't "say" that, actually; they just don't use those episode numbers. The numbers, not the episodes, are what don't exist--or more properly just aren't used. I thought the articles said as much, but it looks like they don't. I'll fix it. --Masamage 16:19, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe air dates really matter when it comes having the right japanese episodes with the right english episodes. DIC is stupid...I believe we all know this. They would air them out of order because they don't care about the anime's plot. It really needs to be changed. Ruk13 (talk) 06:23, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
DiC didn't air them; YTV, the television station, aired them. Which isn't to say that it's not all stupid, because it is...but being stupid doesn't make it invalid, unfortunately. :/ But really, there's no harm in leaving in the airing order. The numbers don't do anything, and it'll always be confusing and ambiguous. For sanity's sake I just refer to English episodes by their titles, or as "the dub of episode 132" or whatever. --Masamage 18:06, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Can't we do one column for order in which they aired and then other show the order chronologically? Wouldn't that be a fair compromise? --Phoenixfireworks23 (talk) 00:42, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to re-activate this thread, but does anyone know if #41-53 got aired at the end of the season in the USA's first syndication, like it did in Canada's? IMDB have the air-dates listed for the United States in the first Canadian syndication order, but I have managed to get my hands on scans from a USA syndication binder produced by DIC, and it has the air-dates for the USA with the correct episode order (#41-65). ~ Corza Moon (a.k.a Fighter4Luv) (talk) 07:15, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question About Names[edit]

I went ahead and changed them, but feel free to change them back if it's an issue. However,...what's with Saphir and Dimonde? :/ Wouldn't it be a lot less 'Engrish' to just refer to them as Sapphire and Diamond? It's like..if we are going to refer to them by those names, shouldn't we refer to Queen Serenity as Queen Selenity? (Please no. :p) --UsagiEriko (talk) 23:26, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I actually left Esmeraude the way it was...but should it be changed to Emerald? --UsagiEriko (talk) 23:29, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please change them back. Their names are neither English nor Japanese, but European languages, and should be rendered the way they are listed at Black Moon.
In general, it's better not to make changes like this without discussion. --Masamage 00:21, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Black Moon Clan[edit]

The article may not sustain itself as stand-alone article. In fact, the whole group appeared in only Sailor Moon R (anime and manga). Therefore, regardless of size, perhaps that article shall merge into this article/list. George Ho (talk) 06:57, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Strong oppose, first of all, this article is just for the anime and, as you just said, the Black Moon Clan covers more media. It just needs some real world content to prove Notability of the group as a whole. --LoЯd ۞pεth 04:29, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Without real-world context, why shall that article be stand-alone? --George Ho (talk) 00:19, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have started a Reception section with some political discussion on the Clan and the attack on Crystal Tokyo. I just need some time to add more stuff. I found some discussion regarding Black Lady and Prince Demand's dolls, but I'm quite busy these days. I will add this info as soon as possible. --LoЯd ۞pεth 05:42, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: Notability is required for standalone articles. Covering multiple forms of media isn't enough. Tezero (talk) 00:20, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • I know. My point is that this article (List of Sailor Moon R episodes) is just about the anime, and the Black Moon Clan characters appear in the manga, musicals, etc. (unlike the Makaiju characters). In any case, if it has to be merged, then it should be merged into the List of Sailor Moon characters. But I have added content from scholar references, and I will add merchandise and other stuff this weekend. --LoЯd ۞pεth 18:50, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
