Sageuk and Sidaegeuk[edit]

It should be noted that Sageuk actually describes films based on history, while Sidaegeuk refers to fiction stories set in a historical era, like Joseon dynasty. Now, this article refers in the beginning to the article Historical drama, which then mentions "Historical drama includes historical fiction and romances, adventure films, and swashbucklers." But that would not be true for Sageuk. That would be Sidaegeuk. The terms quite directly translate to "history play" and "period play". --Christian140 (talk) 08:54, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
