Sacred Heart Catholic Church in FontanaCatholic National Sanctuary of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in FontanaSacred Heart of Jesus Church, Fontana Relisted. Note that multiple new names have been suggested. --Orlady (talk) 18:13, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Move to what article seems to be saying is its actual name. Sources in article don't particularly support either, AFAIC. I happened to arrive here because am reviewing items at "Sacred Heart Catholic Church" dab page, where this does not seem to belong. Note there was a move done back in 2006, by editor Jmabel, with edit summary "(moved Sacred Heart Parish Church in Fontana, Gozo to Catholic National Sanctuary of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus: Moving to what the article seems to be saying is its actual name)". That move was reverted by editor Gozomark with edit summary "(moved Catholic National Sanctuary of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus to Sacred Heart Catholic Church: Title is simpler and makes the article more accessible)". I think that is not valid, it is proper to use the actual name of the church not to coin something convenient. doncram 17:37, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

article and proposal now revised, and article source supports new name in English. --doncram 19:26, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - according to the website, it's "Sacred Heart Parish", and the title at the top of the parish bulletin is "Parocca Qalb Ta' Gesu", which according to Google Translate means "Heart of Jesus Parish". Without an actual source, preferably in English, for the extended name, it's probably fine where it is. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 18:05, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I found a webpage to use as a source for the article, and revised bolded name in article and this proposal here. Okay now? --doncram 19:26, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's heading in the right direction, but I don't consider "Maltese Webring" to be a reliable-enough source for a move.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 20:45, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This one, on the other hand, supports it nicely. http://www.gozo.gov.mt/pages.aspx?page=79 Only question remaining is, what should the disambig be? ", Fontana" doesn't strike me as the best solution. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 20:48, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, that's the second source (not nec. independent, but still a second one) that uses exactly "Sacred Heart of Jesus Church-Fontana", with hyphenation. The source i found used that, although I suggested comma usage instead. But I suggest we accept that hyphenated one as a Proper Noun type name for the place, then not needing disambiguation because it is unique. Arguably it would be personal judgment to overrule that and take "Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (Malta)" or any other alternative. If you care to just move it to that, I think that would be fine. --doncram 23:28, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. Whatever it's moved to, it should be "Foo Church, Fontana" and not "Foo Catholic Church in Fontana". It's in Malta, in which 99% of churches are Catholic, so the adjective is unnecessary, and we usually add place names in Europe separated by a comma not a preposition. -- Necrothesp (talk) 08:42, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
