(Maybe there's nothing worth salvaging, but I leave that up to the rail buffs who'd know) --Calton | Talk 06:46, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing salvageable, IMO, so I redirected it. Matthew Brown (Morven) (T:C) 10:12, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I think Hilton & Due write Bay Bridge was equipped with top contact covered third rail (not bottom contact). The conflict was between this and the top contact third rail uncovered that was used to the north of Sacramento.

NE bridge between marysville and yuba city[edit]

this bridge is no longer in use. The line west of marysville has been abandoned and the rails have been removed, presumably for scrap. The railroad pads crossing local streets/highways in yuba city have either been paved over or left in place. The bridge itself is the focus of a study for conversion to a road bridge, to parallel the current local road bridge (between 5th street and bridge street) to provide a total of 4 lanes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.174.7.191 (talk) 16:30, June 25, 2007

Yolo Shortline[edit]

Yolo Shortline currently redirects here. It is true that the shortline originated as a part of the Sacramento Northern Railway, but it is no longer so as of 2003 I believe (it says in either this article or Sierra Northern Railway) and it is now a part of the Sierra Northern Railway. In any case, my question is, where should this redirect to? Killiondude (talk) 07:14, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Yolo Shortline[edit]

Well, I believe it should redirect to both the Sacramento RiverTrain and the Sierra Northern Railway pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by StephenHjellum13 (talkcontribs) 05:30, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, one page cannot redirect to two. Its impossible :-) Killiondude (talk) 06:13, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The redirect of Yolo Shortline Railroad was turned to Sierra Northern Railway just a couple months ago. Killiondude (talk)

IP edits[edit]

Hello Mr./Mrs. IP editors :-) I've noticed there have been several people working on this article lately (from doing a WHOIS on the IP addresses). One thing I'd ask though, is if you could please cite the information you're adding to the article with inline citations. I really like the content you're adding, but citing it would make this page all the "moah bettah". See WP:CITE for info on how to cite sources on Wikipedia if you're unfamiliar. Or you can drop me a line on my talk page asking for help in layman's terms :-) Killiondude (talk) 06:20, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cornet Sankey Yard[edit]

The short stretch of former S N trackage at the intersection of Pleasant Grove and Sankey roads in Elverta is the home of Modoc Railroad Academy, who lease the site from Union Pacific. I graduated from Modoc in 2008, and maintain regular contact with them. I can assure you that they are not defunct - in fact, I have been offered a teaching position there. For more info., go to modocrailroadacademy.com. Robert G Daniels68.238.59.14 (talk) 02:01, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
